Kris Kirkman
This rock and pop singer has the most amazing voice. Hailing from Portland, Oregon and so a Northwest native just like me, Kris probably isn’t known much outside of his own hometown - though his former band Perusa might be. Still...he should be. This singer/songwriter is a good example of how having a MySpace Music page can bring his talent to a wider and just-as-appreciative audience. While Kris’ band Purusa broke apart under the stress of actually being a hit, looks like the musician in Kris hasn’t given up on music. Kris’ haunting, fluid vocals emote raw feeling and echo infinitely onward carried gently through on waves of simple acoustic meaning. Translation: a good listen.
